The World is getting older, yet the topic of ageing and older people rarely makes the headlines in Ireland or around the World. Ageing affects us all and despite many differences between the lives of older people in Ireland and countries in the Global South (‘developing countries’), there are also many similarities. These workshops will explore the role and lives of older people in Ireland and the Global South in terms of their roles such as being care givers, leaders, farmers, as well of some of the challenges they face. We would also like to hear your views on how older people can be included in and consulted on issues that affect them, particularly when it comes to international policy on Ageing and Development. Lunch will be provided during the workshops.
